Cloud Server Console Usage Related Issues

The cloud server console is utilized in scenarios where network disruptions or other reasons prevent remote access. It simulates the experience of logging into a server on-site. Once successfully logged in, it allows users to operate the cloud server as if using a local computer. The cloud server console is typically used for resolving issues such as disabled network cards, incorrect IP configuration, firewall configuration errors, and monitoring reboot progress. While various browsers support the console, it is not a perfect substitute for Remote Desktop Connection or SSH. Under normal circumstances, it is still recommended to manage cloud servers using Remote Desktop Connection or SSH clients for greater stability and efficiency.

Operating Steps

1.Please log in to the Data Management Center. Navigate to Business Management => Cloud Server Management => Click on a specific cloud server => Console, and start the console page.

2.Once connected, for Windows operating systems, click the button to send the Ctrl+Alt+Del command to enter the login interface, then input the remote username and password to successfully log in. For Linux operating systems, do not send this command, as it will restart the server.

3.For added security, after completing operations on Windows systems, remember to send the Ctrl+Alt+Del command again and select Lock. For Linux systems, enter exit in the command line to lock.

Common Issues

1.Does the console support copy and paste?
Yes! The cloud server console now includes a clipboard function. Typically, there's a "Send Clipboard" button in the upper right corner of the console. Clicking this button allows you to paste content from your local computer's clipboard and send it to the cloud server operating system. This feature is supported by various mainstream browsers.

2.The password does not display on the screen when typing
For Linux operating systems, it is normal for passwords not to display when entering them in the login command line. The same phenomenon occurs when using SSH clients like Putty.

3.The console fails to display
If a blue screen or a "disconnected" message appears, it might indicate that the cloud server is not running. Try restarting the cloud server and then reattempting. If the screen is black, press any key on the keyboard a few times to wake up the system and bring up the command line prompt.

4.In conclusion, limited by browser HTML and JavaScript support, the cloud server console can perform some basic operations. For more comprehensive functionality, it is still advisable to use applications like Remote Desktop Connection or SSH clients.
